THE WAY TO SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE AND ENERGETIC EFFICINCY

 Group of twenty entrepreneurs and members of project team of Palilula Municipality visited International fair and conference GreenBuilding 2012 in Verona Italy from May 9 to 12. The visit to this prestigious fair manifestation about energetic efficient architecture was organized within the project Development and improvement of SME in the field of increasing energetic efficiency in construction that was approved in the beginning of this year to Nis Palilula as a part of developmental projects LEDIB programmes. Heading to fair manifestation in Verona EKOpolis published the results of the awarding competition for the best media work (in the category of pupils and students on the theme `Barriers and energetic efficiency in construction`.

PALILULA MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

 The Municipal Election Commission Palilula, on the session held on May 14 2012 17:30 hours, determined the results of the election of councilors of the Assembly of Palilula, held May 6 and by-elections held on May 13 2012.In 47 polling stations of 65 095 registered voters, voted 33 525 inhabitants of Palilula which amounts to 51.50 percent. According to the number of votes received and state mandates in electoral lists, the following are: Pokrenimo Palilulu, Tomislav Nikolic (SNS, NS; PSS-BK, PS) 7697 votes and 7 seats won; Ujedinjeni regioni Srbije -Branislav Jovanovic, 5831 votes and 5 seats won; Ivica Dacic -Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS, PUPS, JS) 5218 votes and five seats won, Izbor za bolji zivot Boris Tadic, 3997 and four seats won, the Democratic Party of Serbia-Vojislav Kostunica, 2195 votes and won two seats;

PALILULA MUNICIPALITY AND THE ART OF GIVING FUNDATION HEROES OF
THE BATTLE FOR BABIES

 Palilula Municipality, City of Nis and project Art of Giving are awarded with order Hero of the Battle for Babies for shown bravery and humanity in the action successfully realized in the end of the last year. This unique and significant attribution gave Veran Matic, director of B92 Fund at the ceremony in Belgrade on the occasion of May 9 – Day of Victory for the contribution to successful collection of resources for the purchasing of incubators for the natal-maternity departments in Serbia. `After the action, that was initiated by Palilula Municipality in Nis in duration of one month and in cooperation with Student parliament of the Faculty of natural Sciences, the representatives of B92 Fund with the coalition of organizations of civil societies campaign Battle for Babies got first donors also in our town said at the press conference PhD Igor Novakovic, president.

`BARRIERS AND ENERGETIC EFFICIENCY IN CONSTRUCTION`

 Milan Momirovic, graduating student from biology Faculty of Natural Sciences in Nis, according to the estimation of the professional jury, won the first prize on the competition by Ekopolis and Palilula Municipality within the project and support of LEDIB programme. Momirovic with the group of entrepreneurs and project team of Palilula Administration visited Verona Green Building fair May 9-12 2012 where he met the examples of good practice in projecting of energetically efficient buildings in world.

EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL BEGINS
IN NIS CULTURAL CENTER

 On the occasion of May 9 - Europe Day and Victory Day over Fascism, the third consecutive year, the French Institute Nis, Media Reform Center Nis and Nis Cultural Center, sponsored by city municipalities: Palilula, Mediana and Pantelej municipalities organize a unique event - Days of European Film 2012. Previously it has been announced the projections of films from nine countries and as guests at the opening attended by Her Excellency, the Ambassador of Denmark, Mette Nielsen-Kewell and Deputy Ambassador of Slovenia Milan Posted. As we learned from the director of the French Institute in Nis, Aziliz Tupen (Aziliz Toupin),'' Days of European Film'' will open on Tuesday the 20 00 hours in the hall of Nis Cultural Center Danish film.

SUPPORT TO THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CHILDREN IN PEPELJUGA NURSERY SCHOOL

 `Pepeljuga` nursery, one of 17 Nis nursery schools within `Pcelica` institution is enriched with new toys. The equipping of the space is the beginning of the adaptation one of the oldest nurseries in the town that will celebrate anniversary 30 years on June 22 2012. Heading to this jubilee, the delegation of Palilula Municipality visited the children and the employed of this nursery and gave as a present children toys with certain certificates of quality standards in the value of 105,500,00 dinars. For the youngest we should always wish the best but in nurseries of Nis especially in those who have been active before many decades, frequently is missing something which is the most important to the children – new toys.

GOING TO VERONA `GREEN BUILDING` FAIR

 The prize for the best work in the competition: "Barriers and Energy Efficiency in Buildings", which has been released by Media Ecological Network in Serbia-EKOPOLIS within the project of Palilula "Development and improvement of the competitiveness of SMEs in the field of improving energy efficiency in buildings", which supports LEDIB Programme (Local Economic Development Balkans), received Milan Momirović, graduate student, Faculty of Sciences, Biology department, University of Nis. He will be with a group of entrepreneurs and Administration of the project team of Palilula Municipality during the visit of International Fair "Green Building", in Verona (Italy), from 09-May 12 2012 where they will learn about best practices in designing energy efficient buildings in the world.

INCREASED SAFETY ON PALILULA TRAFFIC JUNCTION POINTS

 On the occasion of the activities of setting new traffic signals at locations in Palilula Municipality, where pedestrian safety is compromised, especially of students, the president of Palilula, PhD Igor Novakovic and President of the Palilula Assembly, Milan Djurdjevic, with their associates and in the presence of the president of the of City Assembly of Nis, PhD Mile Ilic and chief of the Railway Junction Niš, Dejan Djokic, visited the location of the railway crossing near the Old Cemetery (old building of Distribution) street junctions of "Vojvode Gojka" and "Prvog Srpskog Ustanka," where the construction works are completed.
